| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the | ||||||
| 4 | Bolingbrook High School Girls Basketball Team on the occasion | ||||||
| 5 | of their victory at the Illinois High School Association Class | ||||||
| 6 | 4A State Championship on March 5, 2011; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Bolingbrook defeated Zion-Benton with a final | ||||||
| 8 | score of 71-42 to secure the title; the team's victory marked | ||||||
| 9 | the third straight state championship for the Lady Raiders; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, ESPN Hoopgurlz ranked the Lady Raiders the number | ||||||
| 11 | two team in the country; USA Today ranked the Lady Raiders | ||||||
| 12 | number two in the country because of their winning efforts; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders finished the season with a record | ||||||
| 14 | of 29-2; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The Bolingbrook Lady Raiders include Kennedy | ||||||
| 16 | Cattenhead, Nia Moore, Annaya Moore, Cherell Hill, DaLacy | ||||||
| 17 | Anderson, Taylor Tuck, Ariel Massengale, Falon Edwards, Kierra | ||||||
| 18 | Ray, Allie Hill, Charosnese Williams, Morgan Tuck, and Cabriana | ||||||
| 19 | Capers; and

| 20 | WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders are led by head coach Tony Smith; | ||||||

| 1 | the assistant coaches are Jenee' Graham, Carter Larry, and | ||||||
| 2 | Aaron Woods; the team manager is Lanise Branch; therefore, be | ||||||
| 3 | it

| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 5 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 6 | we congratulate the Bolingbrook High School Lady Raiders girls | ||||||
| 7 | basketball team on becoming the 2011 IHSA Class 4A Girls | ||||||
| 8 | Basketball Champions, applaud them for their class and | ||||||
| 9 | professionalism, and wish the team well in their future | ||||||
| 10 | endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 12 | presented to the Lady Raiders as an expression of our respect | ||||||
| 13 | and esteem.
