HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Camillus
Joachim Wurtz of Pocahontas, Arkansas, who passed away on April
14, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz was born on August 16, 1921, in
Pocahontas, Arkansas; his parents were Peter A. and Mary T.
Wurtz; and
WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz served in the United States Army
Air Forces during World War II; he earned 4 Bronze Stars for
his meritorious service; and
WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz retired from his business,
Builders Plumbing and Heating, in 1982, after many years of
dedicated service to his community; and
WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz was preceded in death by his loving
wife of 63 years, Esther; his parents; his brothers, Zeno and
Sylvan; and his sisters, Juanita, Rosemary, and Beatrice; and
WHEREAS, Camillus Wurtz is survived by his sons Sid (Rita)
Wurtz and Ron (Judy) Wurtz; his daughters, Camille (Joe) Myers
and Juanita (Joe) Cofer; his 7 grandchildren; his 6

great-grandchildren; and his sister, Joanne DeGregorio;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
Camillus Joachim Wurtz; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Camillus Wurtz as an expression of
our sympathy.
