HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate WSEC/PBS Jacksonville on
the occasion of its 30th anniversary; and
WHEREAS, WSEC/PBS Jacksonville has educated, inspired,
entertained, and informed Jacksonville-area viewers for 3
decades; and
WHEREAS, Public television consistently provides viewers
with exceptional programming, including programs such as
"Downton Abbey", "Riverdance", and numerous Ken Burns'
documentaries; and
WHEREAS, With the help of educational programs, such as
"Sesame Street", WSEC/PBS Jacksonville has offered children
the opportunity to grow and develop and has become one of the
most trusted sources of children's programming; and
WHEREAS, WSEC/PBS Jacksonville is nearing its 1000th
episode of "Illinois Stories"; and
WHEREAS, WSEC/PBS Jacksonville celebrated its anniversary
with a dinner and program on January 31, 2015; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
congratulate WSEC/PBS Jacksonville on its 30th anniversary and
wish them many more years of continued success; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to WSEC/PBS Jacksonville as an expression of our
esteem and respect.
