| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Robert Wunderlich has served on the Joliet Junior | ||||||
| 3 | College Board of Trustees for 44 years, from 1977 to 2021; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Robert Wunderlich has been a continuous advocate | ||||||
| 5 | for Joliet Junior College and the Illinois community college | ||||||
| 6 | system through his leadership and service; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Robert Wunderlich led efforts to transform | ||||||
| 8 | facilities across the college by providing expertise, | ||||||
| 9 | planning, and support, particularly for the 2008-2013 Master | ||||||
| 10 | Plan and by spending 20 years chairing the board's Buildings | ||||||
| 11 | and Grounds Committee; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, The 2008-2013 Master Plan constructed seven new | ||||||
| 13 | buildings and renovations, including the Greenhouse, the | ||||||
| 14 | Campus Center, the Health Professions Center, the Natural | ||||||
| 15 | Sciences renovation, the Automotive Tech renovation, the | ||||||
| 16 | Facility Services Building, and the City Center Campus; this | ||||||
| 17 | period of time represents the most sweeping physical changes | ||||||
| 18 | to the college in its history; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, In 2018, Robert Wunderlich was recognized for his | ||||||
| 20 | commitment to Joliet Junior College with the Susan H. Wood | ||||||
| 21 | Award from the Joliet Junior College Foundation; and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Robert Wunderlich is one of only six trustees in | ||||||
| 2 | Illinois community college history who have served more than | ||||||
| 3 | 40 years on their local community college board; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Robert Wunderlich has demonstrated a strong and | ||||||
| 5 | unwavering commitment to his community and higher education in | ||||||
| 6 | the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 8 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we commend Robert Wunderlich for his over four decades of | ||||||
| 10 | service on the Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees; and be | ||||||
| 11 | it further
