| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Suzan Nash on the occasion | ||||||
| 4 | of her retirement as the Western Illinois Regional Council | ||||||
| 5 | Executive Director in 2017 after 36 years of service; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Suzan Nash joined the Western Illinois Regional | ||||||
| 7 | Council in 1979 as a Planner; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Suzan Nash became the agency's second Executive | ||||||
| 9 | Director in 1981, the first female executive director of a | ||||||
| 10 | regional planning agency in Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Suzan Nash worked to establish the formation of | ||||||
| 12 | the Western Illinois Regional Council's
Community Action | ||||||
| 13 | Agency in 1982; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Suzan Nash worked to establish the Western | ||||||
| 15 | Illinois Regional Council's Victim Services
domestic violence | ||||||
| 16 | program in 1986 and the sexual assault program in 1991; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Suzan Nash's distinguished leadership, | ||||||
| 18 | dedication, and commitment to the Western Illinois
Regional | ||||||
| 19 | Council has had a positive impact on thousands of residents in | ||||||
| 20 | West Central Illinois; therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 2 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 3 | congratulate Suzan Nash on her retirement as the Western | ||||||
| 4 | Illinois Regional Council Executive Director, and we wish her | ||||||
| 5 | the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
