| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jack H. Humes III | ||||||
| 4 | of Boy Scout Troop 316 of Edwardsville on achieving the notable | ||||||
| 5 | rank of Eagle Scout; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, A Court of Honor Ceremony was held on March 5, | ||||||
| 7 | 2011 in his honor; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, His Eagle project was titled "Operation Dog | ||||||
| 9 | House"; with the help of his troop he built eight dog houses | ||||||
| 10 | for the Metro East Humane Society; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Jack has been active in scouting since the age of | ||||||
| 12 | 9; he earned a Certificate of Merit for noticing a 3-year old | ||||||
| 13 | child who was trying to cross a busy street and called the | ||||||
| 14 | police and ensured the child returned home safely; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Jack has obtained numerous merit badges including | ||||||
| 16 | badges for Advanced Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, | ||||||
| 17 | Personal Management, Personal Fitness, Swimming, Citizens of | ||||||
| 18 | the Community, Citizens of the Nation, Citizens of the World, | ||||||
| 19 | Communications, Environmental Science, Family Life, Camping, | ||||||
| 20 | Fishing, Truck Transportation, and Wood Working; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Jack has held various leadership positions with | ||||||
| 2 | Boy Scout Troop 316 which include Patrol Leader, Assistant | ||||||
| 3 | Senior Patrol Leader, Chaplain Aid, Bugler, and currently | ||||||
| 4 | Scribe; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Jack H. Humes III serves as a model of dedication, | ||||||
| 6 | integrity, and hard work for the people of the State of | ||||||
| 7 | Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 9 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 10 | we congratulate Jack H. Humes III and wish him the best in his | ||||||
| 11 | future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 13 | presented as special recognition to Jack H. Humes III as a | ||||||
| 14 | symbol of our respect and admiration.
