HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Laborers International Union of North America
Local 362 McLean County, Illinois is celebrating 100 years of
service to their members and the community in March 2019; and
WHEREAS, Laborers Local 362 has uplifted generations of
local workers, procuring better wages, job representation,
training opportunities, and health and pension benefits; and
WHEREAS, Laborers Local 362 is a community leader,
providing countless hours of volunteer service on donated labor
projects, boards, commissions, and in elected and appointed
offices; and
WHEREAS, Laborers Local 362 represents a diverse
membership, with an open door to applicants of all backgrounds,
representing construction, public, and private sector workers;
and
WHEREAS, Laborers Local 362 provides leadership to the
local, regional, and international levels of the labor
movement; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

their members and their community, commend their work, and wish
them success in their second century; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Laborers Local 362 as an expression for our esteem
and respect.
