| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Geneva
High | ||||||
| 4 | School competitive dance team, the Vikings, on winning a rare | ||||||
| 5 | fourth straight Illinois High
School Association Class 2A | ||||||
| 6 | Competitive Dance State Championship, on January 28, 2017, at | ||||||
| 7 | the U.S.
Cellular Coliseum; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, The Vikings headed into the finals tied with Lake | ||||||
| 9 | Forest, each team scoring 93.14 during the
preliminary routines | ||||||
| 10 | on January 27th; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The fourth straight State Championship was the | ||||||
| 12 | ultimate finish for a squad that likely will return
every | ||||||
| 13 | member of the team next year; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, The Vikings are coached by Head Coach Amy Van | ||||||
| 15 | Wagenen; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, The Vikings team members include Lyndsey Gerbec, | ||||||
| 17 | Lily Karlson, Triana Lee, Fiona McManus,
Kasey Murphy, Riley | ||||||
| 18 | Naselli, Madeline O'Rourke, Alexis Pender, Ashley Pender, | ||||||
