| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Frannie's Beef & Catering | ||||||
| 4 | on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its founding; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Frannie's is a beloved institution in Schiller | ||||||
| 6 | Park; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, One summer day on his journey home from work in | ||||||
| 8 | 1991, Vincent DiVincenzo Sr. spotted a vacant building on | ||||||
| 9 | River Road and considered turning the building into a | ||||||
| 10 | restaurant with his brother, Joe; the two brothers and their | ||||||
| 11 | parents, Franca and Rosario, then created Frannie's Beef & | ||||||
| 12 | Catering; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Frannie's has been serving their famous Italian | ||||||
| 14 | Beef and Sausage sandwich, steak Italian, and hot dogs for | ||||||
| 15 | decades in Schiller Park; these are among other favorite menu | ||||||
| 16 | items, including their homemade meatballs, designed to | ||||||
| 17 | "dazzle" diners' taste buds; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, At their River Road location, Frannie's serves | ||||||
| 19 | additional menu options in their catering service, including | ||||||
| 20 | Lemon Garlic Chicken, beef packages, and more; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Ten people currently work at Frannie's, including | ||||||
| 2 | three who live in Schiller Park; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Frannie's was built by a talented and dedicated | ||||||
| 4 | family, including Russ DiVincenzo, Vince DiVincenzo, Doreen | ||||||
| 5 | Sowa, Joe DiVincenzo, the late Francesca DiVincenzo, and the | ||||||
| 6 | late Rosario DiVincenzo, who have always worked to bring | ||||||
| 7 | delicious food to their community; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Frannie's has reached this milestone by achieving | ||||||
| 9 | 30 years of success; the DiVincenzo family and all who work at | ||||||
| 10 | their restaurant have shown a commitment to serving great food | ||||||
| 11 | and providing great customer service; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 13 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 14 | we congratulate Frannie's Beef & Catering on the 30th | ||||||
| 15 | anniversary of its founding, and we wish them many more years | ||||||
| 16 | of success; and be it further

| 17 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
| 18 | presented to Vincent DiVincenzo Sr. and Joe DiVincenzo and | ||||||
| 19 | their family as an expression of our appreciation for their | ||||||
| 20 | work in the Schiller Park community.
