| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are continually taxed
| ||||||
| 3 | more and more each year; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, These taxes make Illinois inhospitable to both
| ||||||
| 5 | citizens and businesses alike; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are already faced with
| ||||||
| 7 | some of the highest taxes in the nation; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are already faced with
| ||||||
| 9 | many aspects of their lives being taxed at ever-increasing
| ||||||
| 10 | rates; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 12 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 13 | we are opposed to any increase in the gas tax in 2019 and | ||||||
| 14 | beyond; and be it further
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
| ||||||
| 16 | delivered to each member of the Illinois General Assembly.
