| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to honor Vallarie Franchesca Perez | ||||||
| 4 | on her accomplishments; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Vallarie Perez's most recent accolade was being | ||||||
| 6 | crowned the International Jr. Miss Teen Illinois Winner on | ||||||
| 7 | March 25, 2012; she uses her status to speak to young adults | ||||||
| 8 | and girls in the State to discuss the ongoing battle with teen | ||||||
| 9 | bullying; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Vallarie Perez currently attends North Central | ||||||
| 11 | College in Naperville; her focus is on broadcasting and | ||||||
| 12 | journalism so she can pursue her dream to become a television | ||||||
| 13 | news reporter; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Vallarie Perez serves her community as much as she | ||||||
| 15 | can in her spare time; she has contributed a total of 141 hours | ||||||
| 16 | of service; she has volunteered at Horner Park Northwest Little | ||||||
| 17 | League on Chicago's north side, at the First Congregational | ||||||
| 18 | Church of Chicago, and for the Cook County Board of Review; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Among Vallarie Perez's accomplishments she has | ||||||
| 20 | received an Honors Academic Scholarship for North Central | ||||||
| 21 | College and the North Central Alumni Scholarship; she is the | ||||||

| 1 | current title holder of International Junior Miss Illinois | ||||||
| 2 | 2012, the 1st runner-up in the America's Perfect Teen Pageant | ||||||
| 3 | 2011, and won the Broadcast Journalism Award Perfect Teen 2011; | ||||||
| 4 | in 2010, she finished in the top 15 in the Illinois Teen USA | ||||||
| 5 | Pageant; she won the AJ Wright Model Search in April 2010, the | ||||||
| 6 | Quinceanera's Magazine Cover Girl 2009, and won back-to-back | ||||||
| 7 | city championships with Lane Tech varsity softball in 2009 and | ||||||
| 8 | 2010; therefore, be it

| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 10 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 11 | we honor Vallarie Perez on her myriad of accomplishments so far | ||||||
| 12 | in her life and wish her well in her pursuit of her future | ||||||
| 13 | dreams; and be it further
