| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Marcella Hawthorne | ||||||
| 4 | on the occasion of her retirement after many years of dedicated | ||||||
| 5 | service with the United States Social Security Administration | ||||||
| 6 | on March 3, 2011; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Marcella Hawthorne attended school at Kenwood | ||||||
| 8 | High School; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Marcella Hawthorne began her career with the | ||||||
| 10 | Social Security Administration in July of 1970 as a | ||||||
| 11 | Stay-in-School employee; she steadily ascended through the | ||||||
| 12 | ranks, serving in such positions as Claims Development Clerk, | ||||||
| 13 | Service Representative, Claims Representative, Operations | ||||||
| 14 | Supervisor, Field Services Specialist, Security Specialist, | ||||||
| 15 | Project Manager, Assistant District Manager, and District | ||||||
| 16 | Manager; she eventually rose to the position of District | ||||||
| 17 | Manager of the Social Security Administration's Chicago East | ||||||
| 18 | Field Office, where she remained until her retirement; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Marcella Hawthorne is the loving mother of | ||||||
| 20 | Lonneice and the devoted grandmother of Diamond, Summer, and | ||||||
| 21 | Satynn; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, A celebration in honor of Marcella Hawthorne and | ||||||
| 2 | her many accomplishments at the Social Security Administration | ||||||
| 3 | will be held on March 12, 2011 at the Grand Ballroom in | ||||||
| 4 | Chicago; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Marcella Hawthorne serves as a model of hard work, | ||||||
| 6 | integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of | ||||||
| 7 | Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 9 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 10 | we congratulate Marcella Hawthorne on the occasion of her | ||||||
| 11 | retirement and wish her many happy and healthy retirement | ||||||
| 12 | years; and be it further
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to Marcella Hawthorne as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
| 15 | respect.
