HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are continually taxed
3more and more each year; and
4 WHEREAS, These taxes make Illinois inhospitable to both
5citizens and businesses alike; and
6 WHEREAS, The internet has become a necessity for students,
7schools, businesses, and personal use; and
8 WHEREAS, Internet service providers already demand
9exorbitant rates; therefore, be it
10 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we are opposed to the implementation of any sales tax on
13internet usage in 2019 and beyond; and be it further
14 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
15delivered to each member of the Illinois General Assembly.
