2 | WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are continually taxed | ||||||
3 | more and more each year; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, These taxes make Illinois inhospitable to both | ||||||
5 | citizens and businesses alike; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, The internet has become a necessity for students, | ||||||
7 | schools, businesses, and
personal use; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Internet service providers already demand | ||||||
9 | exorbitant rates; therefore, be it
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
11 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
12 | we are opposed to the implementation of any sales tax on | ||||||
13 | internet usage in 2019 and beyond; and be it further
| ||||||
14 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
15 | delivered to each member of the Illinois
General Assembly.
