| 2 | WHEREAS, Director James O. Breen has been in the park and | ||||||
| 3 | recreation profession for 38 years, 19 of those dedicated years | ||||||
| 4 | acting as the Director of the St. Charles Park District; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Director Breen is a Certified Parks and Recreation | ||||||
| 6 | Professional who has been involved in a variety of leadership | ||||||
| 7 | roles in the community, including Board of Directors of the St. | ||||||
| 8 | Charles Rotary Foundation, the Board of Directors of the St. | ||||||
| 9 | Charles Convention and Visitor's Bureau, a committee member on | ||||||
| 10 | the Design Committee of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, | ||||||
| 11 | Past President of the Rotary Club of St. Charles, the Downtown | ||||||
| 12 | St. Charles Partnership, and the St. Charles United Way fund | ||||||
| 13 | drive; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Under the direction of Director Breen, the St. | ||||||
| 15 | Charles Park district has won numerous awards and recognitions, | ||||||
| 16 | including the prestigious Gold Medal Award; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, During Director Breen's service, several key | ||||||
| 18 | additions took place in the St. Charles Park District, | ||||||
| 19 | including the East Side Sports Complex, Primrose Farm Park, and | ||||||
| 20 | the West Side Community Park that is now known as the James O. | ||||||
| 21 | Breen Community Park; these additions increased recreation | ||||||
| 22 | opportunities for the community, adding sports fields, a dog | ||||||

| 1 | park, tennis courts, a nature center, and trails; therefore, be | ||||||
| 2 | it

| 3 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 4 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 5 | we wish Director James O. Breen well in his retirement and | ||||||
| 6 | thank him for his many years of dedicated service to the St. | ||||||
| 7 | Charles Park District and the surrounding community; and be it | ||||||
| 8 | further

| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
