Bill Title: Amends the Administration Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that beginning on the effective date of the amendatory Act, whenever an applicant for or recipient of public aid benefits applies for such benefits or the renewal of such benefits, the Department of Human Services shall notify the Illinois State Police of the applicant's or recipient's full name, date of birth, social security number, and current address.

AN ACT concerning public aid.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
adding Section 12-4.7b-1 as follows:
(305 ILCS 5/12-4.7b-1 new)
Sec. 12-4.7b-1. Criminal history background checks.
Beginning on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the
97th General Assembly, whenever an applicant for or recipient
of public aid benefits under this Code applies for such
benefits or the renewal of such benefits, the Department of
Human Services shall notify the Illinois State Police of the
applicant's or recipient's full name, date of birth, social
security number, and current address.
