AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
10-20.73 and 34-21.9 as follows:
(105 ILCS 5/10-20.73 new)
Sec. 10-20.73. Threat of police action prohibited. A school
board shall prohibit an employee from making a comment, claim,
statement, or threat to any pupil about the likelihood or
possibility that police action may be taken against the pupil.

shall prohibit an employee from making a comment, claim,

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
