AN ACT concerning human rights.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Human Rights Act is amended by
adding Section 3-102.2 as follows:
(775 ILCS 5/3-102.2 new)
Sec. 3-102.2. Credit score or debt obligation. It is a
civil rights violation for a commercial residential property
owner to discriminate against a housing grant recipient on the
basis of credit score or debt obligation.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
