1 | AN ACT concerning State government.
| |||||||||||||||||||
2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| |||||||||||||||||||
3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
4 | Section 5. The Interagency Coordinating Committee on | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | Transportation Act is amended by changing Section 15 as | |||||||||||||||||||
6 | follows:
| |||||||||||||||||||
7 | (20 ILCS 3968/15)
| |||||||||||||||||||
8 | Sec. 15. Committee. The Illinois Coordinating Committee on
| |||||||||||||||||||
9 | Transportation is created and shall consist of the following | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | members:
| |||||||||||||||||||
11 | (1) The Governor or his or her designee.
| |||||||||||||||||||
12 | (2) The Secretary of Transportation or his or her | |||||||||||||||||||
13 | designee.
| |||||||||||||||||||
14 | (3) The Secretary of Human Services or his or her | |||||||||||||||||||
15 | designee.
| |||||||||||||||||||
16 | (4) The Director of Aging or his or her designee.
| |||||||||||||||||||
17 | (5) The Director of Healthcare and Family Services or | |||||||||||||||||||
18 | his or her designee.
| |||||||||||||||||||
19 | (6) The Director of Commerce and Economic Opportunity | |||||||||||||||||||
20 | or his or her
designee.
| |||||||||||||||||||
21 | (7) A representative of the Illinois Rural Transit | |||||||||||||||||||
22 | Assistance
Center.
| |||||||||||||||||||
23 | (8) A person who is a member of a recognized statewide
|
| |||||||
| |||||||
1 | organization representing older residents of Illinois.
| ||||||
2 | (9) A representative of centers for independent | ||||||
3 | living.
| ||||||
4 | (10) A representative of the Illinois Public | ||||||
5 | Transportation
Association.
| ||||||
6 | (11) A representative of an existing transportation | ||||||
7 | system that
coordinates and provides transit services in a | ||||||
8 | multi-county area for
the Department of Transportation, | ||||||
9 | Department of Human Services,
Department of Commerce and | ||||||
10 | Economic Opportunity, or Department on Aging.

11 | (12) A representative of a statewide organization of
| ||||||
12 | rehabilitation facilities or other providers of services | ||||||
13 | for persons
with one or more disabilities.
| ||||||
14 | (13) A representative of a community-based | ||||||
15 | organization.
| ||||||
16 | (14) A representative of the Department of Public | ||||||
17 | Health.
| ||||||
18 | (15) A representative of the Rural Partners.
| ||||||
19 | (16) The Director of Employment Security or his or her | ||||||
20 | designee.
| ||||||
21 | (17) A representative of a statewide business | ||||||
22 | association.
| ||||||
23 | (18) A representative of the Illinois Council on | ||||||
24 | Developmental
Disabilities.
| ||||||
25 | (19) The Director of Veterans' Affairs or his or her | ||||||
26 | designee. |

1 | The Governor shall appoint the members of the Committee | ||||||
2 | other
than those named in paragraphs (1) through (6) and | ||||||
3 | paragraph (16) of
this Section. The Governor or his or her | ||||||
4 | designee shall serve as
chairperson of the Committee and shall | ||||||
5 | convene the meetings of the
Committee. The Secretary of | ||||||
6 | Transportation and a representative of a
community-based | ||||||
7 | organization involved in transportation or their
designees, | ||||||
8 | shall serve as co-vice-chairpersons and shall be responsible
| ||||||
9 | for staff support for the committee.

11 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
12 | becoming law.
