Bill Title: Amends the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of 1986. Requires a not-for-profit corporation that is excluded from the definition of "nonprofit organization" under the Unemployment Insurance Act because it does not have in employment 4 or more individuals within each of 20 or more calendar weeks to provide a written notice to each employee and each member of the board of directors that the employees of the not-for-profit corporation are not eligible to receive unemployment insurance benefits on the basis of their employment for the not-for-profit corporation.

1 AN ACT concerning not-for-profit corporations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The General Not For Profit Corporation Act of
5 1986 is amended by adding Section 103.35 as follows:
6 (805 ILCS 105/103.35 new)
7 Sec. 103.35. Unemployment insurance; notice. A
8 not-for-profit corporation that is excluded from the
9 definition of "nonprofit organization" under Section 211.2 of
10 the Unemployment Insurance Act because it does not have in
11 employment 4 or more individuals within each of 20 or more
12 calendar weeks must provide a written notice to each employee,
13 either in each employee's employment contract or in a written
14 notice provided to employees who do not have employment
15 contracts, and to each member of the board of directors that
16 the employees of the not-for-profit corporation are not
17 eligible to receive unemployment insurance benefits on the
18 basis of their employment for the not-for-profit corporation.
