1 AN ACT concerning criminal law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Use of Intoxicating Compounds Act is amended
5by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (720 ILCS 690/1) (from Ch. 38, par. 81-1)
7 Sec. 1. Use prohibited. No person shall ingest, breathe,
8inhale or drink any compound, liquid, or chemical containing
9toluol, hexane, trichloroethylene, acetone, toluene, ethyl
10acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, trichloroethane, isopropanol,
11methyl isobutyl ketone, methyl cellosolve acetate,
12cyclohexanone, the the alkaloids atropine, hyoscyamine, or
13scopolamine, or any other substance for the purpose of inducing
14a condition of intoxication, stupefaction, depression,
15giddiness, paralysis or irrational behavior, or in any manner
16changing, distorting or disturbing the auditory, visual or
17mental processes. For the purposes of this Act, any such
18condition so induced shall be deemed to be an intoxicated
19condition.
