| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5056

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5056 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | adding Section 4-1.13 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (305 ILCS 5/4-1.13 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 4-1.13. Notification of absence from State. A | ||||||
| 8 | recipient of benefits provided under this Article who plans to | ||||||
| 9 | leave the State for more than 90 days shall notify the | ||||||
| 10 | Department of his or her plans in order to remain eligible to | ||||||
| 11 | receive such benefits. Upon notification, the Department shall | ||||||
| 12 | suspend the recipient's benefits until he or she returns to the | ||||||
| 13 | State. Any recipient who fails to fulfill the notification | ||||||
| 14 | requirement under this Section shall no longer be eligible to | ||||||
| 15 | receive benefits provided under this Article.".
