Bill Title: Amends the Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Act. Provides that subject to appropriations, the Department shall create a pilot program for adult day services for persons on the autism spectrum over the age of 22. Provides that the Department shall make grants to organizations that develop a replicable model for quality day services for adults with autism living in Illinois. Effective immediately.

| 1 | AN ACT concerning State government.
| ||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Act is | ||||||
| 5 | amended by adding Section 18 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (20 ILCS 2405/18 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 18. Autism; adult day programs. Subject to | ||||||
| 8 | appropriations, the Department shall create a pilot program for | ||||||
| 9 | adult day services for persons on the autism spectrum over the | ||||||
| 10 | age of 22. The Department shall make grants to organizations | ||||||
| 11 | that develop a replicable model for quality day services for | ||||||
| 12 | adults with autism living in Illinois.

| 13 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
| 14 | becoming law.
