Bill Title: Amends the Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Act. Provides that subject to appropriations, the Department shall create a pilot program for adult day services for persons on the autism spectrum over the age of 22. Provides that the Department shall make grants to organizations that develop a replicable model for quality day services for adults with autism living in Illinois. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Act is
5amended by adding Section 18 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 2405/18 new)
7 Sec. 18. Autism; adult day programs. Subject to
8appropriations, the Department shall create a pilot program for
9adult day services for persons on the autism spectrum over the
10age of 22. The Department shall make grants to organizations
11that develop a replicable model for quality day services for
12adults with autism living in Illinois.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14becoming law.
