Bill Title: Amends the State Finance Act. Creates the 21st Century Schools Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides that moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated for the purposes of bringing Illinois schools into the 21st century. Creates the Drinking and Wastewater Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides that moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated for the purposes of clean and safe drinking water and wastewater projects. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning finance.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
Sections 5.811, 5.812, 6z-93, and 6z-94 as follows:

Sec. 5.811. 21st Century Schools Fund.

Sec. 5.812. Drinking and Wastewater Fund.

Sec. 6z-93. 21st Century Schools Fund; creation. The 21st
Century Schools Fund is created as a special fund in the State
treasury. Moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated for the
purpose of bringing Illinois schools into the 21st century.

Sec. 6z-94. Drinking and Wastewater Fund; creation. The
Drinking and Wastewater Fund is created as a special fund in
the State treasury. Moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated
for the purpose of clean and safe drinking water and wastewater

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
