AN ACT concerning education.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
10-20.73 and 34-18.66 as follows:
(105 ILCS 5/10-20.73 new)
Sec. 10-20.73. "In God We Trust" display. A school board
may allow the motto "In God We Trust" to be displayed in a
conspicuous location inside or outside each school building.
Nothing in this Section shall be construed to require a school
district to display the motto "In God We Trust" inside or
outside each school building.

Sec. 34-18.66. "In God We Trust" display. The board may
allow the motto "In God We Trust" to be displayed in a
conspicuous location inside or outside each school building.
Nothing in this Section shall be construed to require the
