Appropriates $5,000,000 to the State Board of Education to award funding under the Education of Homeless Children and Youth State Grant Program to be used to support programming for students at risk for or experiencing homelessness. Effective July 1, 2026.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $5,000,000, or so much of that
amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education to award funding
under the Education of Homeless Children and Youth State Grant
Program to be used to support programming for students at risk
for or experiencing homelessness in compliance with Public Act
103-744.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
2026.
