Provides that these services shall continue to be paid under the State's traditional fee-for-service program.

1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5adding Section 5-30b as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-30b new)
7 Sec. 5-30b. Exemptions from managed care; transportation
8services. Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
9beginning on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the
10101st General Assembly, the Department shall exempt the
11following services from the State's managed care medical
12assistance program: transportation services, including those
13transportation services provided by ground ambulance service
14providers, medi-car providers, service car providers, and taxi
15service providers, as described in subsection (c) and (c-1) of
16Section 5-4.2. These services shall continue to be paid under
17the State's traditional fee-for-service program.
