Bill Title: Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that in addition to a current or retired law enforcement officer who is authorized by law, a person who is the holder of a valid concealed carry license issued under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act is exempt from the provisions of the Code that prohibit the possession of those firearms.

| 1 | AN ACT concerning wildlife.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by changing Section | |||||||||||||||||||
| 5 | 3.4b as follows:

| 6 | (520 ILCS 5/3.4b) | |||||||||||||||||||
| 7 | Sec. 3.4b. Concealed firearm exemption. A current or | |||||||||||||||||||
| 8 | retired law enforcement officer authorized by law to possess a | |||||||||||||||||||
| 9 | concealed firearm, or a person who is the holder of a valid | |||||||||||||||||||
| 10 | concealed carry license issued under the Firearm Concealed | |||||||||||||||||||
| 11 | Carry Act, shall be exempt from the provisions of this Code | |||||||||||||||||||
| 12 | prohibiting possession of those firearms. However, nothing in | |||||||||||||||||||
| 13 | this Section authorizes the use of those firearms except as | |||||||||||||||||||
| 14 | authorized by law.
