Amends the State Designations Act. Provides that the Kankakee Mallow is designated the native State flower (currently, the native violet). Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Designations Act is amended by
5changing Section 40 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 460/40) (from Ch. 1, par. 2901-40)
7 Sec. 40. State tree and flower. The white oak tree is
8designated the native State tree of the State of Illinois; and
9the Kankakee mallow native violet is designated the native
10State flower of the State of Illinois.
