Amends the State Designations Act. Provides that the Kankakee Mallow is designated the native State flower (currently, the native violet). Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning State government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The State Designations Act is amended by
changing Section 40 as follows:
(5 ILCS 460/40) (from Ch. 1, par. 2901-40)
Sec. 40. State tree and flower. The white oak tree is
designated the native State tree of the State of Illinois; and
the Kankakee mallow native violet is designated the native
State flower of the State of Illinois.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
