Bill Title: Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act. Provides that, in accordance with a standing order by a physician licensed to practice medicine in all its branches or a standing order by the Department of Public Health, a pharmacist may provide a school district, public school, charter school, or nonpublic school with undesignated epinephrine injectors, asthma medication, glucagon, and opioid antagonists for the use by the school district, public school, charter school, or nonpublic school under the School Code. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall issue a standing order to provide a school district, public school, charter school, or nonpublic school with undesignated epinephrine injectors, asthma medication, glucagon, and opioid antagonists for use under the School Code. Provides that the standing order must be consistent with the current version of the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, guidelines of the United States Preventive Services Task Force, or generally recognized evidence-based clinical guidelines. Sets forth provisions concerning liability and rulemaking.

Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act. AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Pharmacy Practice Act is amended by adding
Section 50 as follows:

Sec. 50. Standing order and dispensation of medication to
schools.
(a) In accordance with a standing order by a physician
licensed to practice medicine in all its branches or a
standing order by the Department of Public Health, a
pharmacist may provide a school district, public school,
charter school, or nonpublic school with undesignated
epinephrine injectors, asthma medication, glucagon, and opioid
antagonists for use by the school district, public school,
charter school, or nonpublic school under Section 22-30 of the
School Code. A pharmacist and pharmacy must maintain records
of medications issued under this Section pursuant to a
standing order.
(b) The Department of Public Health shall issue a standing
order to provide a school district, public school, charter
school, or nonpublic school with undesignated epinephrine
injectors, asthma medication, glucagon, and opioid antagonists
