AN ACT concerning government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act is amended
by adding Section 2-105 as follows:
(5 ILCS 420/2-105 new)
Sec. 2-105. Legislator serving as a political party
chairperson. No legislator while serving as a member of the
General Assembly shall concurrently serve as the chairperson
for a statewide political party.
