1 AN ACT concerning government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act is amended
5by adding Section 2-105 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 420/2-105 new)
7 Sec. 2-105. Legislator serving as a political party
8chairperson. No legislator while serving as a member of the
9General Assembly shall concurrently serve as the chairperson
10for a statewide political party.
