| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4068
| ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4068 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Permanent Noise Monitoring Act is amended | ||||||
| 5 | by adding Section 25 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (620 ILCS 35/25 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 25. Noise complaint database. | ||||||
| 8 | (a) The Division shall adopt procedures for residents of | ||||||
| 9 | this State to report noise complaints concerning airports | ||||||
| 10 | within the State by telephone, mail, electronic mail, and | ||||||
| 11 | direct submission via the Division's website. Information on | ||||||
| 12 | how to report noise complaints shall be posted on the | ||||||
| 13 | Division's website. | ||||||
| 14 | (b) The Division shall develop and maintain a database of | ||||||
| 15 | noise complaints reported under subsection (a) of this Section. | ||||||
| 16 | On December 31 of each year the Division shall report the | ||||||

| 1 | contents of this database to the Governor and the General | ||||||
| 2 | Assembly. | ||||||
| 3 | (c) The Department of Transportation may adopt rules to | ||||||
| 4 | implement this Section.".
