| 1 | AN ACT concerning appropriations.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The sum of $2,950,000, or so much of that sum as | |||||||||||||||
| 5 | may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue | |||||||||||||||
| 6 | Fund to the Board of Higher Education to address shortages of | |||||||||||||||
| 7 | school psychologists in this State by expanding slots in | |||||||||||||||
| 8 | existing school psychology programs, hiring or contracting for | |||||||||||||||
| 9 | additional faculty or supervisors, and providing tuition | |||||||||||||||
| 10 | waivers and training stipends to students that prioritize | |||||||||||||||
| 11 | students of color.

| 12 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, | |||||||||||||||
