| 1 | AN ACT concerning appropriations.
| |||||||||||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The sum of $340,000, or so much of that sum as | |||||||||||||||
| 5 | may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue | |||||||||||||||
| 6 | Fund to the State Board of Education to address shortages of | |||||||||||||||
| 7 | school psychologists in this State by hiring or contracting | |||||||||||||||
| 8 | for a school psychology liaison within the State Board of | |||||||||||||||
| 9 | Education, providing a grant to fund a program within the | |||||||||||||||
| 10 | Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium to recruit | |||||||||||||||
| 11 | and retain doctoral interns in faculty positions within public | |||||||||||||||
| 12 | universities, and funding a school psychologist retention | |||||||||||||||
| 13 | program with a group consultation model.

| 14 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, | |||||||||||||||
