AN ACT concerning public aid.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
adding Section 5-1.5 as follows:
(305 ILCS 5/5-1.5 new)
Sec. 5-1.5. Eligibility expansions; voluntary populations.
Eligibility criteria for voluntary populations to receive
medical assistance approved under the federal Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act, including previously
ineligible individuals with incomes up to 133% of the federal
poverty level, shall not be expanded.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
