1 AN ACT concerning education.


2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3represented in the General Assembly:



4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections 
510-20.56 and 34-18.49 as follows:

6 (105 ILCS 5/10-20.56 new)
7 Sec. 10-20.56. Use of district funds by school board 
8members. School board members may expend school district funds 
9only for school purposes, including without limitation the 
10conduct of business, operations, and education. School board 
11members are prohibited from using district funds for 
12entertainment expenses.

13 (105 ILCS 5/34-18.49 new)
14 Sec. 34-18.49. Use of district funds by board members. 
15Board members may expend school district funds only for school 
16purposes, including without limitation the conduct of 
17business, operations, and education. Board members are 
18prohibited from using district funds for entertainment 
19expenses.


20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
