Bill Title: Amends the Will Contests Article of the Probate Act of 1975. Provides that, as used in that Article only, "interested person" includes any person who is an interested person as defined by the Act or any person or organization named as a legatee in a prior will of the decedent whose share in the prior will is more than the share the person or organization receives under the will being admitted. Provides that the amendatory Act may be referred to as Karen's Law.

1 AN ACT concerning civil law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. This Act may be referred to as Karen's Law.
5 Section 5. The Probate Act of 1975 is amended by adding
6Section 8-0.1 as follows:
7 (755 ILCS 5/8-0.1 new)
8 Sec. 8-0.1. Definition. As used in this Article VIII only,
9"interested person" includes any person who is an interested
10person under Section 1-2.11 or any person or organization
11named as a legatee in a prior will of the decedent whose share
12in the prior will is more than the share the person or
13organization receives under the will being admitted.
