Bill Title: Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the Department of Human Services shall not seek to renew or extend any federal waiver of the 3-month time limit or work requirements for able-bodied adults without dependent children who apply for or receive benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning public aid.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
adding Section 12-4.51 as follows:
(305 ILCS 5/12-4.51 new)
Sec. 12-4.51. SNAP; able-bodied adults without dependent
children; waiver removal. The Department of Human Services
shall not seek to renew or extend any federal waiver of the
3-month time limit or work requirements for able-bodied adults
without dependent children who apply for or receive benefits
under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
