Bill Title: Creates the Naturopathic Medical Practice Act. Provides for the regulation of naturopathic physicians through licensure by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Establishes the Board of Naturopathic Medicine, the Naturopathic Childbirth Attendance Advisory Committee, and the Naturopathic Formulary Committee. Sets forth provisions concerning licensure, scope of practice, duties of the Department, and administrative procedure. Amends the Illinois Controlled Substances Act to add naturopathic physicians who issue a prescription for a controlled substance in accordance with the naturopathic formulary to the definition of "prescriber".

2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3350 as follows:
3on page 10, line 3, by replacing "the Illinois Association of
4Naturopathic Physicians" with "an association representing
5naturopathic physicians"; and
6on page 10, line 23, by replacing "A majority" with "Four
7members"; and
8on page 10, by replacing lines 24 and 25 with "quorum is
9required to exercise the rights and perform all of"; and
10on page 12, line 18, after "Board.", by inserting "Three
11members shall constitute a quorum."; and
12on page 13, line 24, after "childbirth.", by inserting "Three
13members shall constitute a quorum."; and

1on page 15, line 19, by replacing "Department" with "General
2Assembly"; and
3on page 15, line 19, by replacing "2007" with "2014"; and
4on page 35, immediately below line 13, by inserting the

7adding Section 4.32 as follows:
8 (5 ILCS 80/4.32 new)
9 Sec. 4.32. Acts repealed on January 1, 2022. The following
10Act is repealed on January 1, 2022:

2emergency care without fee to a person, shall not, as a result
3of his or her acts or omissions, except willful or wanton
4misconduct on the part of the person, in providing the care, be
5liable for civil damages.".
