Bill Title: Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that any individual authorized by law to possess a concealed firearm shall be exempt from the provisions of the Code prohibiting possession of those firearms during bow and arrow season.

| 1 | AN ACT concerning wildlife.
| ||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by changing | ||||||
| 5 | Section 3.4b as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (520 ILCS 5/3.4b) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 3.4b. Concealed firearm exemption. A current or | ||||||
| 8 | retired law enforcement officer authorized by law to possess a | ||||||
| 9 | concealed firearm shall be exempt from the provisions of this | ||||||
| 10 | Code prohibiting possession of those firearms. Any individual | ||||||
| 11 | authorized by law to possess a concealed firearm shall be | ||||||
| 12 | exempt from the provisions of this Code prohibiting possession | ||||||
| 13 | of those firearms during bow and arrow season. However, | ||||||
| 14 | nothing in this Section authorizes the use of those firearms | ||||||
| 15 | except as authorized by law.
