AN ACT concerning regulation.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Professional Boxing Act is amended by
changing Section 5 as follows:
(225 ILCS 105/5) (from Ch. 111, par. 5005)
(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2012)
Sec. 5. The The Department shall exercise, but subject to
the provisions of this Act, the following functions, powers,
and duties: (a) to ascertain the qualifications and fitness of
applicants for licenses and permits; (b) to prescribe rules and
regulations for the administration of the Act; (c) to conduct
hearings on proceedings to refuse to issue, refuse to renew,
revoke, suspend, or subject to reprimand licenses or permits
under this Act; and (d) to revoke, suspend, or refuse issuance
or renewal of such licenses or permits.
