1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing
5 Section 8-302 as follows:
6 (220 ILCS 5/8-302) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 8-302)
7 Sec. 8-302. The The Commission shall require that every
8 public utility furnishing natural or artificial gas,
9 electricity or water to the public, where the individual
10 consumption is measured by meter, shall, upon written request
11 of any consumer, cause the meter reader at the time of reading
12 such consumer's meter to leave at such meter a card showing the
13 present reading of the meter, the last previous reading, and
14 the dates of such two readings.
