| 1 | AN ACT concerning regulation.
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | |||||||||||||||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:
| |||||||||||||||||||
| 4 | Section 5. The Perfusionist Practice Act is amended by | |||||||||||||||||||
| 5 | changing Section 15 as follows:
| |||||||||||||||||||

| 8 | Sec. 15. Powers and duties of the Department. Subject to | |||||||||||||||||||
| 9 | the
the provisions of this Act, the Department may: | |||||||||||||||||||
| 10 | (a) Pass upon the qualifications of applicants for | |||||||||||||||||||
| 11 | licensure by endorsement.

| 12 | (b) Conduct hearings on proceedings to refuse to issue | |||||||||||||||||||
| 13 | or renew a license, or to revoke or suspend a license, or | |||||||||||||||||||
| 14 | to place on probation, reprimand, or take any other | |||||||||||||||||||
| 15 | disciplinary or non-disciplinary action with regard to a | |||||||||||||||||||
| 16 | person licensed under this Act.

| 17 | (c) Formulate rules required for the administration of | |||||||||||||||||||
| 18 | this Act. | |||||||||||||||||||
| 19 | (d) Obtain written recommendations from the Board | |||||||||||||||||||
| 20 | regarding (i) curriculum content, standards of | |||||||||||||||||||
| 21 | professional conduct, formal disciplinary actions, and the | |||||||||||||||||||
| 22 | formulation of rules, and (ii) when petitioned by the | |||||||||||||||||||
| 23 | applicant, opinions regarding the qualifications of | |||||||||||||||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | applicants for licensing. | ||||||
| 2 | (e) Maintain rosters of the names and address of all | ||||||
| 3 | licensees, and all persons whose licenses have been suspended, | ||||||
| 4 | revoked, or denied renewal for cause or otherwise disciplined | ||||||
| 5 | within the previous calendar year. These rosters shall be | ||||||
| 6 | available upon written request and payment of the required fee | ||||||
| 7 | as established by rule. | ||||||
