AN ACT concerning State government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The State Police Act is amended by changing
Section 1 as follows:
(20 ILCS 2610/1) (from Ch. 121, par. 307.1)
Sec. 1. The The Department of State Police, hereinafter
called the Department, shall maintain divisions in accordance
with Section 2605-25 of the Department of State Police Law (20
ILCS 2605/2605-25). The Department, by the Director, shall
appoint State policemen, also known as State Police Officers,
as provided in this Act.
