Bill Title: Amends the Department of Transportation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that prior to the commencement of a road construction project which is expected to have a completion time of 3 weeks or more of the Department of Transportation shall provide each business that will be impacted by the project with (1) notice of when road construction will begin, how long it is estimated to last, and a contact within the Department for answering questions or concerns; and (2) a downloadable document on the Department's website containing strategies for businesses to reduce the impact of the project.

20 ILCS 2705/2705-610 new

2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of Transportation Law of the
5Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding
6Section 2705-610 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 2705/2705-610 new)
8 Sec. 2705-610. Construction projects.
9 (a) Prior to the commencement of a road construction
10project which is expected to have a completion time of 3 weeks
11or more the Department shall:
12 (1) provide each business that will be impacted by the
13 project with notice of when road construction will begin,
14 how long it is estimated to last, and a contact within the
15 Department for answering questions or concerns; and
16 (2) provide a downloadable document on the
17 Department's website with strategies for businesses to
