1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Municipal Wastewater Disposal Zones Act is
5 amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (65 ILCS 90/1) (from Ch. 24, par. 1401)
7 Sec. 1. When used in this Act,
8 "Corporate authorities" means the the governing authority
9 of a municipality.
10 "On-site wastewater disposal system" means any of several
11 works, facilities, devices, or other mechanisms used to
12 collect, treat, reclaim, or dispose of wastewater on, or
13 immediately adjacent to, the property from which the wastewater
14 is disposed.
15 "Zone" means an on-site wastewater disposal zone formed
16 pursuant to this Act.
17 "Real property" means both land and improvements to land
18 which is located within the zone.
19 "Wastewater" means sewage, industrial waste or other
20 waste, or any combination of these, whether treated or
21 untreated plus any admixed land run-off.
22 "Municipality" means the city, village or incorporated
23 town forming a zone.
