| 1 | AN ACT concerning regulation.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding | |||||||||||||||||||
| 5 | Section 356z.33 as follows:

| 6 | (215 ILCS 5/356z.33 new) | |||||||||||||||||||
| 7 | Sec. 356z.33. No pre-approval; life saving treatment. | |||||||||||||||||||
| 8 | Insurance companies under this Act shall not require | |||||||||||||||||||
| 9 | pre-approval or pre-authorization for any treatment determined | |||||||||||||||||||
| 10 | by a physician to be life-saving.

| 11 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | |||||||||||||||||||
