Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning prisoner records maintained by the Department of Corrections.

1 AN ACT concerning criminal law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by
5 changing Section 3-5-2 as follows:
6 (730 ILCS 5/3-5-2) (from Ch. 38, par. 1003-5-2)
7 Sec. 3-5-2. Institutional Record. The The Department shall
8 maintain records of the examination, assignment, transfer,
9 discipline of committed persons and what grievances, if any,
10 are made in each of its institutions, facilities and programs.
11 The record shall contain the name of the persons involved, the
12 time, date, place and purpose of the procedure, the decision
13 and basis therefor, and any review of the decision made.
