AN ACT concerning local government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Public Library District Act of 1991 is
amended by adding Section 10-7 as follows:
(75 ILCS 16/10-7 new)
Sec. 10-7. Expansion of territory. This Article shall not
be used to expand the territory that currently supports a
public library to include areas that were not previously taxed
before the conversion. Nothing in this Section prohibits a
public library district from adding territory under Article 15
of this Act.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
becoming law.
