AN ACT concerning local government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act is
amended by adding Section 4.3 as follows:
(50 ILCS 105/4.3 new)
Sec. 4.3. Public official hiring self. No person holding an
office, either by election or appointment, in a unit of local
government may hire himself or herself to a position over which
that official has supervisory authority.
