Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Makes a technical change in a Section regarding the treatment of trusts as they affect eligibility for medical assistance.

1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5changing Section 5-2.1a as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-2.1a)
7 Sec. 5-2.1a. Treatment of trust amounts. To the the extent
8required by federal law, the Department of Healthcare and
9Family Services shall provide by rule for the consideration of
10trusts and similar legal instruments or devices established by
11a person in the Illinois Department's determination of the
12person's eligibility for and the amount of assistance provided
13under this Article.
